Second Baptist Trash Cats

Second Baptist Trash Cats

A group of 4-5-year-old friends came together to play a nail-biter of a T-ball season. It was most of the girls’ first season playing a team sport. The Second Baptist Trash Cats came together to play hard and learn the game. They did not let their name fool anyone as there were certainly no cat naps taking place during the games. The team, coached by (pictured, in back) Nick Anderson, had an undefeated season this spring even though there was no scorekeeping and no outs given all season. They had a ball of a time even though their coach had to herd cats from time to time. Pictured (from left) are Josie Pugh, Sadie Teare, Piper Anderson, Marie Gaines, Mary Clayton Harrell, Claire Conway, and Margaret Croley.

Editor’s note: Send your best high-resolution photos and behind-the-scenes stories about young local athletes, in both team and individual sports, to SportzBuzz, Jr. at [email protected].
